India is on a massive growth in MICE, BTL, Experiential Marketing, Trade Fairs and Event segments. International trade fairs organisers are eying India as a chief destination for trade fairs and events. Simultaneously, Indian event management companies and trade fairs organisers are already making an impression within the international marketplace

With the rise of convention centers, event venues, multiplexes and other such supporting infrastructure, the demand for event, entertainment and trade fairs services has significantly increased in India. A business platform to cater to these growing demands of the events industry is required for both the buyers as well as service providers.

We thus bring you the International India Events Fair 2009 (IIEF 2009).

Venue: Bombay Exhibition Centre
Date: 4 - 6 March 2009

The Indian economy is thriving. The country is benefiting from a highly educated workforce - knowledgeable, tech-savvy, largely English-speaking. The urban population is enjoying new opportunities, higher incomes and more sophisticated pursuits. Multi-National Companies and foreign investors are increasingly drawn to India. Even Indian nationals who emigrated earlier for better career prospects are returning to participate in the country’s growth.

India is rising. And, in many economists’ view, India’s growth will be sustained. The Indian government has demonstrated its commitment to liberalization and
engagement, allowing private capital a bigger play and opening its markets to foreign competition. High priority has also been accorded to infrastructure
development - in highways, ports, railways, airports, power telecommunication, etc. Today, India is the fourth largest economy in the world based on purchasing power parity. GDP growth averaged 8-9% annually in the past four years. By 2020, India will jump to become the 10th biggest trading nation in the world (from 24th in 2005), according to the Economic Intelligence Unit in its Foresight 2020 Study. McKinsey Global Institute analyses that if India continues on its high growth path, income levels will almost triple and India will climb from the world’s 12th to become the 5th largest consumer market by 2025.

India has shown its intent and capabilities, unleashing a swelling tide of economic power. Led by a new breed of business technocrats, the Indian market is bracing itself for new technologies, especially in information communication including audio visual systems, to meet new challenges and changing consumption demands.

The Summit is designed to provide deeper insights of AV technology, appropriately tailored to the market needs in India. The Summit Program will cover skills workshops, technology conferences, applications seminars and exhibitors' presentations, catering to various levels of personnel. Senior management will gain valuable perspectives on industry developments. Sales and technical professionals, including systems integrators, will be able to update their professional knowledge and sharpen their skills. All, including exhibitors, will enjoy opportunities to build or renew contacts at the numerous networking soirees. Site visits to innovative installations will also be organized to allow a first-hand behind-thescenes experience.
