INDIA INNOVATION SUMMIT 2006
16 to 27 June, 2006
Bangalore, India

Innovation is an area where India has begun to make a definite impact.Over the years organisations have focused on building capabilities around and learning techniques of idea generation. What has been lacking however is the capability to take the ideas from conception to realization. And to be able to do it by design.

The first ever International Innovation Summit in India was held in Bangalore on 16th and 17th June 2005. The Innovation Summit brought together Practitioners from across the developed and developing world to share their actual experiences with Innovation and insights into how they steered the innovation course in their organisations.

Following the phenomenal success of the first summit, it was announced that the 'India Innovation Summit' would be an annual conference, to be held in Bangalore at the same time, every year.

This year the Innovation Summit has been scheduled on 16 - 17 June 2006, and will cover Innovations in Business, Governance and Social Causes worldwide.

The Innovation summit aims to provide a forum for organisations to learn from and interact with those who have 'lived' the journey from 'concept to realization' and provides a platform to help trigger aspirations of business leaders to 'new-think' what they know about their business and industry. The summit aims to bring to the forefront the importance of innovation as well as provide a forum for learning from actual practitioners who have faced the challenges.

Eminent personalities who have proven excellence as researchers, entrepreneurs, businesspersons, innovation managers, business executives and social change evangelists will be invited to speak.

The summit will bring together innovation practitioners, managers of both Indian and international companies, government representatives and students.
