  19TH CONFERENCE FAIR
19 to 22 September 2005, Hilton Towers, Mumbai, India
The Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers & Reinsurers (FAIR) was established to promote co-operation among insurance and reinsurance companies in Asia and Africa and has its headquarters at Cairo.  The members regularly exchange information, expertise and develop reinsurance relations and organise
seminars and conferences on various topics in collaboration with the member countries. At the FAIR 18th Conference held in September 2003 at Harare, Zimbabwe, the executive Committee had accepted the invitation from General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC of India) for hosting the FAIR 19th Conference at Mumbai in India.

Today, India stands as a country whose economy is getting increasingly integrated with the world economy.  The large and growing market, developing infrastructure, sophisticated financial sector, stable polity and strong economic outlook make India an attractive destination, both, for business travelers and tourists. The FAIR 19th Conference is being organised by GIC of India on behalf of the Indian insurance industry in association with The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).  Through papers & presentations by eminent speakers from India and other countries, the Conference will enrich delegates’ knowledge on existing scenario and future outlook in the areas of insurance and reinsurance.  The theme of the Conference is “Insurance and Reinsurance Scenario- Future Outlook”.  About 500 persons concerned in one way or other with insurance, reinsurance, banking, IT etc. would be participating.
